Last updated: November 6, 2026
Hoosier Bushcraft ("we," "us") runs hoosierbushcraft.com and The Hoosier Bushcraft Podcast. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Who we are
Hoosier Bushcraft is an Indiana-based bushcraft, survival and outdoor-skills podcast and community founded by Tony Richardson. You can reach us at contact@hoosierbushcraft.com.
2. Information we collect
- Information you give us: your email address (and your name, if you choose to share it) when you join our email list or request the free field guide, and anything you send us by email.
- Basic technical information: like most websites, our hosting and email providers may automatically record information such as your browser type, device, pages visited and whether an email was opened or a link was clicked.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
3. How we use your information
- To send you the free field guide you requested.
- To send our email updates: new episodes, field notes, events, classes and HBC gear.
- To answer your questions and messages.
- To understand what content is useful and improve the site and emails.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
4. Email list and unsubscribing
You join our list by entering your email on this website. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can leave the list at any time. You can also email contact@hoosierbushcraft.com and we will remove you.
5. Services we use
We rely on trusted outside services to run the site and share our content. They handle information under their own privacy policies:
- Systeme.io: website hosting, sign-up forms and email delivery.
- YouTube and Spotify: podcast episodes. Embedded YouTube videos may set their own cookies.
- InkSoft: our online store for HBC apparel and gear. Purchases and payments are handled there.
- Facebook, Instagram and TikTok: our social pages.
6. Cookies
This site and the services above may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember preferences and measure basic usage. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work as well if you do.
7. How long we keep information
We keep your email address while you are on our list. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information, we will remove it from our active list, except where we need to keep a record of the request.
8. Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we have about you by emailing contact@hoosierbushcraft.com.
9. Links to other sites
Our site links to other websites and platforms. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
